Our Husheng (护生) brochures are ready. This will be distributed through our reach out booths in Bright Hill temple and Buddhist Fellowship. Brochure explains the concept of Husheng and how we support animals living in monasteries and Mettacats. The Buddhist community has been raising issues of Fang sheng (放生) and its potential impact on environment. Hu sheng is another form of fangsheng and becoming vegetarian is another alternative. Hopefully this year when the press raise this issue, they will also discuss the alternatives instead of a narrow and negative focus on fangsheng.
