'Nature Corner' not bird-friendly
AT THE front of the left side of Ghim Moh Road leading into Ghim Moh estate is a huge, meshed cage occupying much of what could otherwise be a pleasant garden patch. It is ironically named "Nature Corner".
Some birds can be seen in the cage. The saddest sight is that of a peacock confined in this restrictive cage.
It was clearly a waste of resources building this facility. More resources are continually being used to maintain this "attraction", which does little apart from causing distress to the birds inside.
It would be good to have the town council reassess the viability and benefits, if any, of continuing with the upkeep of this project, and perhaps consider dismantling it so that it will become a truly open nature patch for all to enjoy.
