Complaint to the town council about cats "disturbing" pots of plants placed along common corridors
A common complaint to the town council is about cats messing up pots of plants placed OUTSIDE homes, along COMMON corridors.
Pots of plants in common areas, not uncommonly, end up as rubbish bins, especially for cigarette butts.
Plants are also at risk of being vandalised or stolen.
If the owners truly treasure the pots of plants, place them indoor or cordon them like what this owner does.
Here are resources on how to keep cats off potted plants:-
1) How To Get a Cat to Stop Pooping in Potted Plants
2) Keep Cats Out Of Planters
Another suggestion: "U know those small limes, supermarket usually sell in a packet less then a dollar. Buy 1 paket and squeeze the lime juice all over the edge of the pot and scatter the leaves in the soil. Cats hate those citrus smell and won't come near it"
There is NO NECESSITY TO KILL THE CATS in response to such complaints.
