Why are vet charges so steep?
I TOOK my sick dog on Monday to the 24-hour clinic at Mount Pleasant Animal Hospital in Whitley Road.
On my arrival, the clinic assistant informed me that the consultation fee alone would cost me $267, without including the goods and services tax.
Has medical treatment for dogs reached a stage where it is not affordable any more? I hope that the Singapore Veterinary Association will look into the problem of high veterinary fees and consider the impact this would have on pet owners and their pets.
