Will request from residents who are concerned about community cats be given recognition by their MP?
Residents who have a liking or concern for the community cats might want to start a cat club or ask for construction of "cat cafes" where cats can be fed without harrassment from residents who think that feeding neutered cats can result in population explosion. There can be a little water fountain where cats can have access to fresh flowing water without the risk of mosquito-breeding.

CAT-WELFARE GROUPS CAN BUILD BONDS
THERE have been unfortunate cases of cat abuse, as reported in the press.
Recently, I was visiting a friend in an HDB estate and was told by some residents that a number of them had come together to look out for the welfare of the cats in the neighbourhood and to prevent them from being culled.
Perhaps town councils and residents’ committees can turn this to their advantage by promoting catwelfare groups in estates and to foster community spirit.
