I agree whole heartedly with Ms Melissa Koh (“Leave My Green Spot Alone”, Feb 27).
I’ve been a resident of the Vista Garden estate which is right next to this green spot for many years, and have always admired the beauty of the tall trees in this area and enjoyed the sounds of birds singing and the rustling of leaves when the wind blows. I, too, have seen the forest being disturbed.
The community of monkeys that Ms Koh spoke of has been leaving the forest lately to forage for food in our gardens, dustbins and even entering our homes because their habitat has been disturbed.
