Searching for Nessie/Mani...and found Semba instead

About 2pm, a man called to say he saw a cat that looked like Nessie at Block 504A. When asked to send a MMS, he said he has already left the block. He said the "brownish" cat was on the 7th storey.

A long drive to block found, not Nessie/Mani, but a ginger kitten outside a flat. The kitten came immediately when approached. He was skinny. There was no food and water. How he ended there will never be known but whoever left him there was irresponsible as the kitten appeared weak from lack of food and water. He could also fall to his death. He could also poo/pee in the corridor resulting in complaints to the town council.



The kitten was brought to a vet who said he was about 4-month-old.

He was named Semba and will be put up for adoption.

Searching for Nessie/Mani

Posters were put up at Blk 503A and 503B, and 3 people searched floor by floor starting from 12th storey where Nessie/Mani disappeared from

“She’s missing!! I dun hv a recent photo of her, but she was groomed & shaved & now in between. Her fur’s nt fully grown yet. Sembawang area. Near Sun Plaza. She slipped out of the house on Sun when we had a lot of visitors moving in & out. Pls let me knw if u see her.”

Searched the vicinity of 503A.
Spoke to a Chinese man on #03 of Blk 503A who was watering his plant. He too has not seen any cat during the past week.
Spoke to a Malay man who lives on the ground floor on the block next to Blk 503A and a foreign worker who works there. They have not seen any cat fitting Nessie/Mani's description.

Still no sight of Nessie/Mani

Update: So far, 3 persons made a trip to Block 503A in the late evening and have not sighted Nessie/Mani .

She's good!! Getting her shots next week. Vet's recommendations. She was shy but now a bit chattier, esp. when she's in the car ha ha little darling

Jessica NgShe's been to the vet, being treated for fur mites and going for her vacs next week. She's exploring all corners of the clinic. Quite the boss lady now

Sharifah said, "The cat was sent by me for sterilisation. This cat has given birth before and was abandoned 7 months ago."

Arrangement can be made with the caregiver for this cat to be adopted.
