Still remember how you tried to stagger up to look at us last Friday even though you were already very weak. I think you were trying to say THANK YOU to all those who had helped you, sent in prayers and had beared part of your medical bills. Rest In Peace, Pretty! Fear not as you are on your way to a happier realm as many kind souls have paved the way for you....."

Pretty was less responsive today. She was lying on a few sheets of newspaper... so I requested for a towel. M and myself had brought towels earlier... but I guess vet clinics never have enough of them. Fluid was drained again and the vet saw a lot of bacteria under the microscope... it's becoming more like pus. Dr Bryan gave antibiotics directly to the tummy area. She was force-fed with AD this morning so I just wet her mouth a little with water. There is still a sliver of hope left

Pretty seemed just that slight bit more lively today. Fluid was drained again last night... but less this time. She is still very dehydrated. The vet also feels that there is a slight improvement and that she is responding to the antibiotics.

"PRETTY'S CONDITION IS CRITICAL!
Noticed that she didn't look good in the morning but vet said it was due to her infection. I managed to syringed her with some chicken soup. Received a call from vet in the afternoon that her condition had turned for the worse and he had drained out a lot of pus/fluid from her belly. I rushed down again in the evening together with Helga and Mary to stay with her for 2 hrs. Pretty was lying down without much response but however before we left, she staggered up to drink some water and look at us. Vet said if her condition doesn't improve the next day then her chance of surviving is very slim. Kindly send your prayers to her!"

Her belly had swelled up suddenly and the fluid was drained! Dr Bryan thinks it is due to infection.... and that she may not make it!

Whatever happens... at least Pretty has medical care and is able to rest in a comfortable and quiet place... thanks to Morna and the Cleaner Lady who alerted her!

Update on Pretty

"Pretty's fever has gone down but she's listless and not eating. Vet said she has caught an infection due to her low immunity. She's now on antibiotcs and force-fed. Managed to syringe some chicken soup into her. Her medical fees to date is around $250 and vet estimated that she will need to be warded for another two weeks. Donations so far is $50/-"

She called out a few times and was not interested in any food... but still purring when stroked. Vet gave an antibiotic injection. Be strong Pretty!!!

"Pretty is more alert today but still not eating. Vet said she could not stand up as she's not able to balance herself and it'll take a few more days before he can tell the progress. Let's hope the best for her...."

Vet said less darting of her eyes today... which is a good sign. She seems more sleepy, not trying to get up today... purring constantly.

Pretty recognizes me and her ears will move when I ring the little fishing bells.

I think she had never missed a feeding although not very hungry... just pretending :) When I come back to clear the plate there is still much left but then she will come running again and eat some more... always had to make a third round to finally clear her plate.... and she likes wet food only. I think she mostly wanted the attention...

Pretty is not paralyzed. She will lift her back when stroked and also did some vigorous kneading with her front paws. However, she is unable to get up because of the brain damage. Dr. Brian said there is a 30% chance of full recovery. She seems to be able to see and hear... but eyes can't focus.

"Cleaner alerted me 2 an injured cat hit by car, blood fm eyes n half
paralysis. Old woman feeder said no $ just leave it there...sigh.. I
brought 2 my house, Have 2 bring 2 vet later:-("

"Cat is now warded at Acacia Vet. She has brain haemorrhage believed to be from a hard knock from vehicle or maybe from abuse. Doctor said to tell whether a full recovery is possible depends on how she fares the next 5 days, let's pray..."
